ACT lands patents for stem cell-derived eye treatment

Advanced Cell Technology Inc. has won two patents related to its stem cell-derived regenerative technology used to treat eye disorders. The patents are expected to help the company move toward human clinical trials to treat Stargardt’s disease, as well as Age-Related Macular Degeneration.
