SiTime Corporation, an analog semiconductor company, today announced that strong worldwide demand for its Oscillators, Clock Generators and Resonators has propelled the company’s cumulative shipments past 50 million units.
“The Silicon MEMS timing market is growing at a CAGR of 66.4% per year from 2011-2016. This growth is being driven by electronics companies who are adopting MEMS technology at the expense of legacy quartz products,” said Laurent Robin, MEMS Analyst, Yole Developpement. “SiTime is the unquestioned leader in this rapidly growing market and had 85% share in 2010.”
