Announced today by Associated Research, Inc is the release
of their new Hypot® III model 3780. The 3780 adds a 500 VA (5 kV AC @ 100 mA)
Hipot model to the successful line of Hipot testers, which already enjoy a
reputation in the industry for their reliability and ease of use. With the
addition of the 3780 the Hypot III now provides a reliable, cost-effective, and
technologically advanced solution for applications that require 100 mA of AC
output current.
In addition to 500 VA Hipot testing functionality, the 3780
also provides a feature set that maximizes test efficiency, while providing a
safe and easy-to-use tester. The 3780 offers a simple and easy-to-use graphic
LCD for quick test set-up and test recall. The 3780 features an RS-232
interface and can be used as a bench top production line tester or easily
integrated into an automated workstation. The 3780 is equipped with the
patented SmartGFI® safety feature, which is a high speed shut down circuit that
provides maximum operator protection. The 3780 also comes with a remote safety
interlock that provides manufacturers the ability to interlock the Hypot III
into a test enclosure limiting an operator’s exposure to high voltage.
Additional features of Hypot III include:
- Patented VERI-CHEK® feature
- Patented CAL-ALERT® safety feature
- 10 Memories with 3 steps per memory
- Short Circuit current > 200 mA
- Digitally controlled arc detection system
- Built-in adjustable continuity test
- Electronic ramping (up & down)
- Safety Agency Listed
The 3780 is priced at $3,625 and will be available to ship
in October. The 3780 also comes with the industry’s only 5-year warranty. All
that is required to extend the warranty for 5 years is to return the instrument
each year for annual calibration and inspection. View complete information and
