Tumbler Technologies + TRUMPower introduced the TMPC-700, which is said to be the first medically approved 700-W ATX PC power supply available in its industry. The unit complies with ATX12V and EPS12V standards. It comes with DC voltage outputs and maximum loads of +3.3 V/24 A, +5 V/30 A, quadruple +12 V/16 A, -12 V/0.5 A, +5 Vsb/3.5 A and -5 V/0.2 A. The maximum total output is 700 W, with the combined output of +3.3 V and +5 V limited to 180 W. The total output current for +12 V1, +12 V2, +12 V3 and +12 V4 is 50 A maximum. The power supply comes with a standard output cableset, which includes the 20+4 pin ATX motherboard connector, four-pin Molex, SATA power connectors, etc that is suitable for most PC-related applications. Alternatively, custom cablesets can be ordered. With the earth leakage current being 100 µA and 150 µA maximum at 115 VAC/60 Hz and at 264 VAC/50 Hz respectively, the TMPC-700 is approved to the 3rd edition of UL 60601-1, IEC 60601-1, and EN 60601-1 medical standards and complies with EN 60601-1-2, EN 61000-3-2, EN 61000-3-3, and FCC, EN 55011, EN 55022, CISPR22, VCCI class B radiated & conductive emissions EMC/EMI standards. In addition, the power supply carries CE mark and complies with RoHS requirements. MTBF of the unit at full load is higher than 145K hours at 25°C ambient, calculated per MIL-HDBK-217F.
The power supply has 90-264 VAC universal input and active PFC, which meets EN 61000-3-2 standards. The TMPC-700 has a built-in, durable ball-bearing fan with noise-killer that is thermally controlled and comes with a power switch. Additional key features include overvoltage and overcurrent protection on all outputs, low ripple and noise and -10ºC to +70ºC
