With shaft diameters from an incredibly small 3 mm up to 16 mm, and pitches down to 0,5 mm, these high efficiency ball screws provide the perfect precision linear drive mechanism for a wide variety of medical devices. Since applications in medical devices often have special material requirements, Steinmeyer offers not only all stainless steel construction or radiation-proof non-plastic designs, but also for-life lubrication with special lubricants that are temperature resistant, so the whole unit can be autoclaved for sterilization, for example.
