IPC The Hospitalist makes 2 more acquisitions
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (AP) — IPC The Hospitalist Co. Inc., a provider of in-hospital medical services, said Wednesday it has acquired LH Self Medical Services PC and the hospitalist operations of a Tennessee company.
Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
LH Self is based in Las Vegas, and Mountain Empire Medical & Surgical Associates PLLC is in Elizabethton, Tenn. IPC said the deals allow it to expand in markets where it already has an established presence.
"We welcome the addition of these well-established practices and their physicians to IPC, where we can provide them the administrative and financial resources that are increasingly vital to independent group practices in today's evolving healthcare landscape," IPC President R. Jeffrey Taylor said in a statement from the company.
Last week, IPC said it had acquired Continuum Geriatric Services, which practices in more than 60 Michigan nursing and assisted living facilities.
