American Medical Response adds chief doctor

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. (AP) — A unit of Emergency Medical Services Corp. said on Monday that it has named Dr. Edward Racht to the new position of Chief Medical Officer.

The company's American Medical Response unit runs ambulance services in 38 states and Washington D.C. Racht has been an emergency medical services doctor and educator for more than 20 years, most recently as vice president of medical affairs and chief medical officer for Piedmont Newnan Hospital in Atlanta, the company said.
