IMS Health names Bousbib as new CEO
Health-care market intelligence provider IMS Health Inc. on Monday said United Technologies Corp. executive Ari Bousbib will become its chief executive officer on Sept. 1.
Bousbib, 48, was most recently president of United Technology's commercial companies, which include Otis Elevator Co. and UTC Fire and Security.
"I welcome the opportunity to help grow this franchise," Bousbib said in a statement.
IMS CEO David Carlucci will continue to serve as chairman for a transition period.
Norwalk-based IMS Health is owned by the TPG Capital, the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and Leonard Green and Partners, which bought the company for $4 billion in a transaction that closed in February.
