Medical company MAKO names new director
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — Medical device company MAKO Surgical Corp. said Wednesday that Richard Pettingill has joined the company's board of directors.
Pettingill was president and chief executive officer of Allina Hospitals and Clinics, Minnesota's largest health care organization, from 2002 until his retirement in 2009. Before joining Allina Hospitals and Clinics, Pettingill was executive vice president and chief operating officer of Kaiser Foundation Health Plans and Hospitals from 1996 to 2002.
MAKO Surgical sells robotic arms for surgeons and sells proprietary implants for orthopedic knee procedures.
