Health care staffing company Team Health Holdings Inc. said Monday it named James L. Bierman to its board of directors.

The company also named him chairman of the board's audit committee.

Bierman is currently senior vice president and chief financial officer of Owens & Minor Inc., a distributor of medical and surgical supplies.

Shares slipped 3 cents to close earlier at $12.
