Dana Farber, UMass Medical land HIV research grants

Mass High Tech: The Journal of New England Technology

The Dana Farber Cancer Institute and the University of Massachusetts Medical School have received $1.15 million in federal grants from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases to apply to research on how immune systems fight HIV and other infections.

The funding was announced today by U.S. Sen. John Kerry and U.S. Rep. Jim McGovern.
