IPC buys 2 physician groups for undisclosed amount
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (AP) — Physician group practice company IPC The Hospitalist Company Inc. said Thursday it bought two physician groups for an undisclosed amount.
The company bought Post-Acute Medical Associates PC, based in Morristown, N.J., and Muhammad Syed MD PC in Las Vegas. The two groups have 20,000 patient encounters annually.
Earlier in October, the company bought Premier Hospitalists, based in St. Louis, for an undisclosed amount. That group has an annual volume of about 20,000 patient encounters.
Shares of IPC fell 52 cents to $28.28 in afternoon trading.
