Mass. gubernatorial candidates debate bio issues
Three Massachusetts gubernatorial candidates took on the issue of how to promote the biotechnology industry in a forum sponsored by MassBio last week.
All three - Charlie Baker, Tim Cahill and Gov. Deval Patrick - vowed that they would take action on the state’s pharmaceutical and medical device gift ban governing interactions between companies and doctors. Industry executives, and many doctors, have complained that the law inhibits interaction between the two groups and stifles innovation.
