Medical Simulation Corporation Signs Agreement With a Nationally Ranked Hospital

DENVER, Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Medical Simulation Corporation (MSC) proudly announces a new agreement with Brigham and Women's Hospital, a teaching-affiliate of Harvard Medical School and a healthcare leader in patient quality, safety, and education. The agreement includes MSC's endovascular simulation system, Simantha®, and MSC's curriculum and training services to advance Brigham and Women's Hospital's continuing education and patient safety goals over the next three years.

The SimSuite Endovascular System will be located at the Neil and Elise Wallace STRATUS Center for Medical Simulation at Brigham and Women's Hospital. STRATUS (Simulation, Training, Research and Technology Utilization System) employs a variety of simulation technologies to advance education, assessment, and research. Since opening its doors in 2004, STRATUS has become a worldwide leader in utilizing simulation to improve healthcare quality and patient safety. STRATUS's operational model draws on both educational and technical staff to support faculty in the development and execution of simulation programs for healthcare providers at all levels of training. STRATUS also offers a fellowship in medical simulation in partnership with the Harvard Graduate School of Education. In addition, STRATUS is working with CRICO, the medical malpractice insurer for the Harvard Medical community, to lower premiums for physicians who successfully complete simulation team training programs.
