'Hot Health Topics' program hits airwaves(3)
You can tune in each week starting Monday, January 24th at 4 to 5 p.m. on KFNX-AM 1100 as the College of Nursing & Health Innovation launches Hot Health Topics, its first radio program.
Dean Bernadette Melnyk, a pediatric and psychiatric nurse practitioner, is host for the program, which will provide the best and latest evidence on how to live healthier lives, as well as cover the best and latest treatments for a variety of health conditions. A different health expert will join the dean each of the 13 weeks of the one-hour program.
Topics will range from What Parents Should Know about Depression in Children to Food as Medicine and Preventing and Managing Obesity.
Experts joining the ASU dean include healthcare and health promotion professionals in psychiatry, care for caregivers, womens health, and the warning signs of heart disease.
Hot Health Topics is part of the colleges Healthy Arizona NOW initiative. The goal of the Healthy AZ NOW program is to improve physical and mental health outcomes across the lifespan for the people of Arizona through evidenced-based healthcare and health promotion, services, community engagement, and first-class educational programs.
