Vitality Inc., the Cambridge maker of the GlowCap pill packaging system, has been acquired by Patrick Soon-Shiong, a Los Angeles pharmaceuticals industry veteran, for an undisclosed amount.

In a news release issued by both parties, Soon-Shiong is noted to have sold his second multi-billion dollar pharmaceutical firm in three years, and he’s focused now on improving healthcare delivery through both philanthropy and business.
