At Canton-based regenerative medicine firm Organogenesis Inc., it was clear by 2004 that it was time to start thinking about a major expansion.
The company’s board of directors saw better opportunities to expand in other states than in Massachusetts. So from 2005 to 2006, the company did a “very arduous” assessment of the possible places to expand, said CEO Geoff MacKay. “We looked at all of the states up and down the eastern seaboard,” MacKay said.
