PolyRemedy Inc., a personalized wound care company based in Boston and Mountain View, Calif., has closed a $20 million Series C funding round. Along with the financing news, the company named Cameron McKennitt as chief commercial officer of the company’s sales and marketing.
PolyRemedy is designed to bring IT solutions to choosing wound dressings, ordering home delivery of woundcare and getting feedback.
California’s Delphi Ventures led the financing, with participation from return backers MedVenture Associates, Advanced Technology Ventures and Flybridge Capital Partners. PolyRemedy noted in a news release today that it intends to use the funds to support commercialization of its IT-personalized therapeutics combination system, called Personalized Woundcare System. The company will also focus on growing sales and marketing staff, building manufacturing for its PolyFIT Antimicrobial Dressings and improving its mobile analytics tools.
