Parker Medical and LMA Vitaid Announce Canadian Distribution Agreement

Fri, 03/23/2012 - 12:30pm
LMA Vitaid in Ontario, Canada and Parker Medical in Highlands Ranch, Colorado are pleased to announce an exclusive distribution agreement under which LMA Vitaid will sell and distribute the full line of Parker Medicals innovative airway management products throughout Canada.

LMA Vitaid is a leading Canadian distributor of technologically advanced medical devices, especially those devoted to providing quick, easy, effective access to the airway. Parker Medical is a developer of such airway management products.  LMAs and Parkers Flex-Tip tracheal tubes have similar utility as versatile, easy-to-use devices for safely establishing and maintaining ventilation.

"In view of the growth and high quality of Parker Medicals current and forthcoming products for routine and difficult tracheal intubations, we are delighted to establish a distribution relationship with Parker Medical," said Will Stewart, President of LMA Vitaid.

"The unique tip geometry of the award-winning Parker Flex-Tip tube is designed to facilitate rapid, easy, non-traumatic insertion of the tube through the airway and into the trachea.  Independent clinical studies have reported that the Flex-Tip causes ‘significantly less trauma and bleeding than standard tubes," said Dr. Jeffrey Parker, President of Parker Medical.  "We believe that it greatly enhances the ability of anesthesiologists, CRNAs, emergency and critical care physicians, paramedics and EMTs to safely intubate even the most difficult patients."

"We have worked hard to establish Parker as a brand that stands for innovation, reliability, and safety in airway management products," said Dr. Parker.  "We are delighted by LMA Vitaids recognition of the unique advantages of Parkers technologies and we welcome them as our Canadian distributor."
