New marketing lead will oversee strategic planning, growth efforts for the surgical products company

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Apr 23, 2012-- OmniGuide, Inc ., a commercial stage medical device company, today announced that it has appointed Carl Vause as its Vice President of Marketing.

Mr. Vause most recently served as the Global Franchise Leader for the Joint Repair business at Smith & Nephew. Before that, he was the Vice President of Global Marketing for a $500 million business unit of Smith & Nephew and a Director of Strategy and Business Development for the company.

In addition to his time at Smith & Nephew, Carl served as Operations Process Manager at Nestle Waters North America and as the Director of Strategic Planning at 3M. Prior to his commercial experience, Carl served as a flight officer with the United States Navy.

Mr. Vause received a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the Virginia Military Institute, a MS degree in Management Systems from the University of Maryland, and his MBA from the London Business School.
