EMD Serono has launched a new global research award of up to $1 million euros ($1.3 million) to improve understanding of multiple sclerosis.

EMD Serono, based in Rockland, Mass. is a subsidiary of German conglomerate Merck KGaA. The company markets approved drugs to treat a number of neurodegenerative, endocrinological and in reproductive health conditions, including multiple sclerosis.
