IRP Medical Purchases Building in San Clemente as New Manufacturing Headquarters
IRP Medical, a division of International Rubber Products Inc., an ISO 9001:2008 leader in silicone, organic and synthetic rubber contract manufacturing services, is pleased to announce a multimillion dollar investment in a state of the art manufacturing facility in San Clemente, California. It will serve as our medical molding operations and corporate headquarters. The new building is 40,000 square feet with 20,000 square feet separated into three clean rooms rated ISO Class 7 and 8.
Our strategic plan is to grow our medical and non-medical silicone business. We are also segregating the commercial / industrial rubber molding operations into another Orange County, CA facility. This will allow us to focus our efforts more closely on the medical and hi-tech industries requiring tight tolerances, clean room environments, strict adherence to cGMP’s and ISO standards.
“By early April 2013 we will be operational with 22 liquid injection molding, transfer and compression presses in San Clemente. Along with this substantial investment, we will be pursuing our ISO 13485 certification shortly after the move,” said Rod Trujillo, CEO & Founder of IRP Inc.
“We are very excited to move into this building to support our customers’ needs and as a key supplier to medical OEM’s requiring precision liquid silicone, high consistency silicone and organic medical components,” said Trey Atkins – Executive Vice President. “With our broad processing capabilities, we will have the room to provide turnkey solutions for the medical device industry utilizing all types of silicone molding, secondary operations, sub-assemblies & packaging.”
