Cytori Therapeutics gets $19.3M from stock sale

Cytori Therapeutics Inc. said Wednesday it raised $19.3 million by selling 4.6 million common shares.

The company said it sold 4 million shares to the public and another 600,000 shares to the underwriters of the offering. The shares were priced at $4.50 each, with some of the money going to commissions, underwriting discounts, and other expenses. Cytori said it will use the funds for general corporate purposes.

Cytori makes products that are used in adult stem cell harvesting and research.

Shares rose 13 cents, or 2.8 percent, to $4.81 in afternoon trading.
