Nyx Devices' sleep-monitoring shirt attracts $500K
MIT researchers have developed sleep-monitoring technology in the form of an electronic T-shirt, and now their company, Nyx Devices Inc., is reaping the benefits. The startup announced in a regulatory filing Thursday that it has secured a $500,000 financing via equity and securities.
Nyx Devices uses a T-shirt, called the Somnus Sleep Shirt, fit with a sensor-embedded device that collects respiration data in a SleepLogger. In the morning, users can review data on how deep they slept, when they hit periods of REM sleep and when they woke.
