Avedro scores FDA advancement for eye disease treatment

Mass High Tech: The Journal of New England Technology

Waltham ophthalmologic device and pharmaceutical developer Avedro [1] Inc. has been granted orphan drug designation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for its treatment of keratoconus, a degenerative eye disease found to be the leading cause of corneal transplants in the U.S.
