Boston Scientific acquires Minneapolis firm

Boston Scientific Corporation (NYSE: BSX) has agreed to acquire privately-held Minneapolis medical device firm BridgePoint Medical, Inc. for an undisclosed sum. Bridgepoint is the maker of a catheter-based system to treat diseased arteries. The deal is expected to close before the end of the year.
