Medical device giant Medtronic is looking for a partner to help push its Alzheimer's drug pump technology past the proof of concept.

MASSDEVICE ON CALL — Medical device company Medtronic [1] (NYSE:MDT [2]) is looking for a partnership to help push its Alzheimer's drug pumps to the next level.

Medtronic is looking to make a friend in the pharmaceutical industry to further test its hypothesis that Alzheimer's drugs may work better if delivered directly to the brain.

"We have proof of concept and we're looking for partners," Medtronic CNS drug delivery director Lisa Shafer told Bloomberg [3].
