Abiomed stocks plunge on news of federal investigation

Stock in Danvers-based Abiomed Inc. (Nasdaq: ABMD) plummeted 30 percent to $13.83 as of noon Thursday after the company disclosed that it’s been subpoenaed by the U.S. Attorney’s Office related to an investigation into its labeling and marketing of its Impella 2.5 heart pump.
