Supported by decades of experience manufacturing medical device components, B. Braun OEM Division offers 80 injection molding machines with presses ranging from 55 to 330 tons as well as nine insertion-molding machines and ultrasonic welding systems. Many of the presses operate in an ISO Class 8 molding facility that stands at the forefront of technology. The presses are standardized to allow easy change-out of molds.
The manufacturing capabilities are complemented by an in-house tool and machine shop that maintains production molds. The company has the flexibility to produce custom core pins and inserts to modify an existing mold to meet customer demands. The facility can handle high-volume, tight tolerance fabrication of components for a variety of end-products such as check valves, stopcocks, clamps, caps and fittings.
B. Braun OEM Division offers industry-leading expertise throughout the medical product lifecycle including design and prototyping, tooling, validation, assembly, packaging, private labeling, regulatory guidance, sterilization and quality control.
