STAINLESS STEEL CABLE ASSEMBLIES Eyelets, threaded screws, or balls may be crimped, laser welded, pressed, or swaged on stainless steel cable assemblies. Asahi Intecc welcomes mechanical and medical cable assembly projects ranging in size from miniature cable assemblies 0.004” to 3mm (1/64” to 1/8” with PTFE or Nylon coating), and in some cases larger stainless cable assemblies ranging from 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 7mm (1/8”, 3/16”, 1/4”, etc) . Medical device stainless cable assembly applications include orthopedics, laparoscopic and endoscopic instruments, and mechanical systems for medical equipment. Stainless, copper, brass, and other fittings are offered.

Asahi Intecc offers responsive high-tension angulation wires (or low-stretch stainless cables) to medical device and endoscope product designers and high-volume manufacturing programs, increasing your fatigue and breakload strength to comparable cables with identical material, configuration, and diameter by 10 to 20%. These high-tension angulation wires may be coated with durable, abrasion-resistant ptfe and nylon coatings, depending on the application. Additional advantages include a clean material surface finish on the stainless cable which is extremely easy to solder; swaging, coating, and masking for your specific durability, and custom stainless cable assembly.

PTFE OVER THE MANDREL (THIN WALL PTFE)

For device manufacturers who wish to prototype with Asahi Intecc, or contract manufacturers who are considering outsourcing their entire device, we provide ultra-thin PTFE to the inside of braided shafts or torque components. Provided on a spool, PTFE is coated on the mandrel by a dipping process. The mandrel size ranges from 0.45mm to 2.30mm. The PTFE wall thickness (one side can range from 0.008mm to 0.012mm (0.00031” to 0.00047” or 8 to 12 microns)). The PTFE is chemically etched on catheter delivery systems, microcatheters, and other delivery systems, where an instrument or a guidewire passes through a PTFE coated lumen.
