Swabbable Needleless Injection Site with a One Way Valve

Qosina recently added a Swabbable Needleless Injection Site #80189 to their line. Unlike other needleless sites that allow for bidirectional flow, this site incorporates a one way valve enabling this component to be used for injection only and will prevent retrograde flow. When the connection is removed, the valve will reseal against backflow even when used with viscous solutions. This injection site features a needleless female luer port to a male luer slip and is equipped with a luer activated valve that allows any standard male luer to open the connection. Composed of Polycarbonate, Silicone and Polyisoprene, the connector is made of biocompatible materials. All materials are latex-free, DEHP-Free and PVC-Free. By eliminating the use of sharp needles for accessing IV lines, the needleless connector is designed to prevent accidental needle sticks. It poses an economical alternative to other needleless sites and is available with a low minimum purchase requirement. The luer fittings are also compatible with the ISO 594 luer standards for both standard male luer and male luer slip fittings.

A new KNF micro diaphragm gas-sampling pump, type NMP015.1.2, uniquely integrates head connections inside the housing for improved pneumatic performance in a compact and leak-tight package. This optimized design produces less pulsation and additionally allows for the housing to be closed and sealed for significant reduction in audible noise. The pump ideally suits portable, battery-operated equipment used in a wide range of OEM applications, including gas sampling, explosives detection devices, anesthesia systems, and medical analyzers, among others. Among features, the pump's elastomeric diaphragm promotes high efficiency and delivers oil-free operation without any risk of contaminating the sampled gas. Pumps can be specified either with an ironless core DC motor or with a brushless DC motor offering longer service life. PEEK housings and pump heads contribute high stiffness and temperature and chemical resistance. Depending on model, these pumps can achieve flow rates to 2.1 l/m, vacuum to 650 mbar (11 in. Hg) absolute, and continuous pressure to 0.6 bar g (9 psig). The new KNF “Type NF1.25” micro diaphragm pump introduces an ideal high-pressure solution for dosing or transferring liquids or liquid-gas mixtures at flow rates up to 300 ml/min. This small and powerful pump is engineered to operate either intermittently or continuously against pressure up to 6 barG (87 psig) over the pump’s entire lifetime. Versions can be specially developed to handle even greater pressure up to 10 barG (145 psig). Specialized complementary accessories can be supplied, including an innovative anti-vibration mounting plate with the capability to dramatically reduce vibration levels and audible noise.
