Powerful “next generation” flame resistant coatings are utilized for filter media used to construct these dual EMI/RFI honeycomb air filters for medical electronics. Additionally, anti-microbial additives with a fungus growth rating of zero are being used. The air filters provide air filtration and EMI shielding in a single, low-cost assembly that is compact and removable. Because honeycomb air filters are removable, the filter and shield are easily cleaned and reinstalled in the medical devices as required.
