SP-45 is a PTFE-based material that has been proven biologically compatible for use in medical equipment seals. Tests conducted per ISO-10993 concluded that SP-45 meets requirements for “unlimited use on intact surfaces,” “limited use on mucosal membranes,” and is “not a sensitizer; non-irritant.”
