Gravure Coating

Mon, 02/06/2006 - 10:29am

LISTED UNDER:

Scapa has the ability to gravure coat adhesives in a cross-hatch pattern onto a wide range of substrates. This pattern coating reduces the amount of adhesive on the substrate and allows strategic areas to be left uncoated to achieve specific performance requirements. The discontinuous cross hatch process applies a precise volume of adhesive to substrates in a repetitive pattern. The adhesive covers between 50 to 70 percent of the substrate and can be used in a range of industry applications where pattern coating is critical to product performance. For direct skin medical applications such as dressings, wound care, surgical drapes, and medical device attachment, the cross-hatch adhesive coating delivers improved breathability, fluid transmission, and moisture vapor transmission.
