The Turcon Variseal Ultra-Clean addresses the stringent cleanliness needs of the medical device community. Utilizing proprietary Turcon material that is compatible with virtually all chemical media, it also has superior wear resistance and friction characteristics, and can withstand extreme operating temperatures. Since PTFE has no elasticity, the seal is energized with a spring fitted into the seal profile. In this unique design, the spring required to activate the seal is fully enclosed within a Turcon case, thus ensuring cleanliness throughout the critical medical device manufacturing process.
