The QCI-A34L-1, a NEMA 34 servo motor, only requires 4.5 A which means a single cable can be used for both motor and encoder signals and the servo motor can be driven from a small SilverDust D2 controller. The OEM system pictured above includes the 48 V SilverDust D2-IG-01 controller which is only 2.75 inches× 3.0 inches. With QCI’s ability to handle inertial miss-matches of 100:1, this motor is ideal for driving large flywheel loads without additional gearing.
