Linear Drive Provides 800 lbs. Thrust

The RG80 linear drive facilitates heavy load linear motion applications and gets rid of the need for electronic controls. The drive also allows for manual adjustments without gear reduction or adjustment of the drive motor speed. As a result, both machine design and operator training and maintenance are simplified. The drive is a friction drive which must run on a case hardened and ground shaft. Its speed and travel direction are determined by a specially contoured rolling ring, which pivots at the end of a stroke after contact with a specific end stop. The machine can be purchased separately or fully assembled with shaft, pillow block end supports, bearings, and adjustable end stops.
