Platinum/Platinum-Alloy Clad Wire Offers High Corrosion Resistance
Fri, 06/13/2008 - 4:51am
Custom engineered platinum and platinum-alloy clad wire is functionally equivalent to solid platinum with respect to its high corrosion resistance, and electrochemical and thermal stability. The wires feature 2% or more cladding thickness, and the surface can be custom engineered to match application requirements. The wire is metallurgically bonded to core materials such as nickel-iron, molybdenum, tantalum, titanium, niobium, Kovar, stainless steel, and copper. The wire is offered in sizes from 0.0002 inches to 0.125 inches O.D. It is also available in ribbon, which comes up to 1.0 inches wide.
