Actuator Acts as Both Motor and Diaphragm

The proprietary RLP-125 actuator acts as both the motor and the diaphragm in liquid movement applications. The actuator may be embedded directly in a fluidic backplane to provide highly reliable pumping action with minimal impact on design architecture. The RLP-125 has a QALT B5 life of 100,000 hours, which represents 11.4 years of continuous operation. Combined with the Pump Energy Key, the maximum power consumption of an RLP-125 in a liquid movement application is about 1 watt, though typical power consumption is less than 500 mW in continuous operation. Unlike electro-magnetic motors, the actuator generates no heat and has no EMI issues.
