Hardware Integrates Captive Screw in Spring-Loaded Assembly
Thu, 01/29/2009 - 5:02am
Type PF50/60 self-clinching access hardware incorporates a captive screw in a spring-loaded assembly to reduce parts count and prevent screws from falling out and damaging internal components. These panel fastener assemblies additionally allow for quick and easy access to components whenever necessary. The hardware meets UL 508 “operator access area” requirements (Type PF50) and UL 1950 “service access area” requirements (Type PF60). Their low-profile design minimizes protrusion on front panels and contributes to enhanced front-panel appearance. When tightened, the fastener (depending on size) will protrude only 0.340 in. from the top of the sheet.
