Strip Sockets/Pin Headers Feature Round Stub-Tail Termination

Wed, 01/14/2009 - 9:25am

LISTED UNDER:

For users needing to create a surface mount interconnect between two printed circuit boards, these SMT strip sockets and pin headers provide an excellent combination for this application. Both the socket receptacle and the header pin feature a round stub-tail termination, providing the benefit of a reduced solder footprint inside the package outline. The 0.008? floating pin design compensates for the peaks and valleys found in uneven solder paste application on the board surface, promoting good solder joints. Pin-to-pin co planarity can be held to 0.005? for pin counts up to 20 positions (2×10.)
