LISTED UNDER:

Servometer/PMG LLC (Booth 861) precision electroforms are found in a variety of non-invasive, invasive, and implantable applications. These precise, thin-walled, metal components can be made as small as 0.02 in (0.5 mm) in diameter, with walls as thin as 0.0005 in. (0.013 mm) out of nickel, copper, gold, silver, or a combination thereof.

The company has refined the process for the design and manufacture of precision electroforms, producing parts that would be too small or fragile to machine or form by traditional mechanical means. Servometer electroforms are produced by electrodepositing a thin layer of nickel on an aluminum mandrel of any shape, then chemically dissolving the mandrel to leave behind a hollow, thin-walled, metal form which becomes the electroform.

The electroforms function as precision tubing, precision nozzles, pressure and temperature sensors, and other lightweight, structurally rigid components.

With the specialized electroforming process perfected by Servometer, most custom electroforms require no significant tooling, therefore; several prototype variations can be made and evaluated, as opposed to being locked into a “good enough” design by expensive dies or molds.
