They are fabricated from sapphire, BaF2, CaF2, fused- and crystalline-quartz, laser glasses, ZnSe, silicon, and germanium. Suited for designers involved with product development and research laboratories, these parts typically exhibit dimensional tolerances from ±0.001” to ±0.005”, 10 waves to 1/10th wave flatness, and 10-5 to 80-50 scratch-dig.
