PLT allows lab-on-a-chip functionality, supporting the next generation of products for distributed, low-cost, handheld tools for IVD, life science, and field-portable applications. The company provides what injection molding, embossing, and etching cannot—enclosed channels and complex 3D structures in a bio-compatible plastic device, allowing incorporation of functional elements including porous membranes, flexible valves, re-circulating pumps, fiber optics, and electrodes. ALine also offers the FluoroVette, a microvolume cuvette for fluorescence, the SpecVette, a short pathlength, UV transparent cuvette for transmission measurements, and the MicroSlide cell culture card.
