One-Piece, Stainless-Steel-Housed Proximity Switches

One-Piece, Stainless-Steel-Housed Proximity SwitchesAll-stainless-steel inductive proximity switches (including the sensing face) provide three times the operating distance on steel and aluminum, and approximately the same on other non-ferromagnetic metals.

The one-piece housing is extremely rugged at the sensing face making these devices much more resistant to mechanical stresses — a weak spot in conventional proximity switches — and pressure-resistant to 850 psi. In addition, it is impervious at the sensing face to all liquids and gases that do not corrode stainless steel.

One-piece, stainless-steel-housed (Condet®) proximity switches are available in embeddable and non-embeddable, 3-wire DC PNP and NPN, and N.O. and N.C. configurations. They are also available with PUR cable type 3 or S8 connector. An LED output indicator is standard.

These switches are ideal for use in food processing, metal fabricating and other industries where harsh liquids are present and contact with machine parts, sparks or hot shavings is possible.
