Economical Quality Inspection in Production

Mon, 01/21/2013 - 10:47am

This is the concept for Werth Messtechnik GMBH’s introduction of the fixed-bridge models of the ScopeCheck device. Solid base granite frames with mechanical guides offer economical solutions. Dirt-resistant guides and scales allow operation under the roughest of production conditions. Precision-guided measurement axes are isolated from each other. Measurement range of this series is up to 3500 mm in the X-axis, and 1750 mm in the Y-axis.

The basic configuration of the Werth ScopeCheck coordinate measuring machine includes an image processing sensor. Software that is specially designed for the requirements of dimensional measurement allows problem-free fully automatic measurement of complex, extremely low-contrast workpieces, using transmitted and incident light. Areas of application can be expanded by integrating additional sensors. Mechanical contact systems, probe changing magazines, and rotating articulated heads increase the level of flexibility and allow the device to be configured for specific applications.

WinWerth Measurement Software provides ergonomically efficient and simple operation of the devices, thus allowing operators with little training to use the devices. The WinWerth graphical user interface is particularly helpful in this area. The measured geometry elements are displayed graphically, as in a design drawing. A simple click allows them to be linked to dimensions. Measurement is thus as simple as reading a drawing.

With its modular design concept, the device can easily be retrofit with additional sensors when required.
