A full line of precision optics that can be supplied uncoated, specifically for optical coaters, or coated to specification for OEMs and end-users, is available from Meller Optics, Inc. of Providence, Rhode Island.

Meller Optical Substrates include sapphire, ruby, fused silica, spinel, Yag, germanium, silicon, zinc selenide, zinc sulfide, calcium fluoride, barium fluoride, magnesium fluoride, BK-7, quartz, and common laser glasses.

Manufactured to specification in sizes from 1/2” to 5” O.D. with ±0.00025” tolerance, they are offered uncoated for optical coaters or finished with reflective, anti-reflective and dual-band coatings for OEMs and end-users.

Featuring 1/10th wave flatness per inch, parallelism to 2 arc-sec, and surface finishes to 10-5 scratch-dig per MIL-PRF-13830, depending upon the material and configuration, Meller Optical Substrates can be supplied as plano-convex and –concave, biconvex and –concave, and meniscus lenses and as plane, wedged, and tapered windows and substrates.
