Nichrome Sealing Wire Capable of 500°F Continuous Operation

A line of nichrome resistance wire that is coated with DuPont Teflon to create a non-stick surface for all types of high-temperature sealing equip-ment is available from Applied Plastics Co., Inc. APC Teflon Coated Nichrome Wire is suitable for use in a wide range of packaging, sealing, shrink-wrapping, plastic sheet- and Styrofoam cutting, and acrylic bending equipment. Featuring a non-stick surface, it is capable of 500°F continuous operation with 600°F intermittent use.

Supplied on spools from stock, APC Teflon Coated Nichrome Wire is offered in standard 0.18”, 0.020”, and 0.036” sizes with other sizes available upon request. This Teflon coated nichrome wire will last longer than uncoated nichrome resistance wire and prevent plastic buildup, claims the firm.
