Miyachi Unitek has introduced the new UB29 linear DC micro welder, which offers precision control for micro-miniature resistance welding, particularly in the medical, aerospace, precision electronics, and automotive markets. Featuring single phase input, a compact size, and dual pulse schedules, the UB29 offers a precisely controlled repeatable waveform and very fast rise time.
ON Semiconductor has launched the Ezairo 7100 series of integrated circuits and packaged hybrids for advanced hearing aids and hearing implant devices. With five times the processing power of previous systems, the system-on-chip (SoC) provides built-in flexibility to support evolving algorithm, wireless and system-level needs.
FRABA POSITAL’s robust and versatile TILTIX inclinometers are now available with integrated 1, 2, 5 or 10 meter connecting cables. This alternative to the M12-type connections on earlier models will simplify installation of these devices in many applications. All TILTIX inclinometers support a variety of electronic infertaces, including analogue (voltage/current), serial (SSI), DeviceNet and CANopen.
Amacoil/Uhing has announced a linear speed control option for Model RG rolling ring linear drives. Normally, the drive moves on a driven shaft with linear speed being adjustable via a pitch control lever located on the drive unit. Now, for applications that do not require variable speed, the new option lets users fix a specific linear travel speed in one or both directions of travel.
Inspired by input from panel builders, system integrators and end users around the world, Rockwell Automation engineers developed the new Allen-Bradley E300 electronic overload relay. The E300 overload relay integrates communications, including EtherNet/IP, patented current-measurement technology, and time-saving I/O options, all in a modular design.
Teleflex Medical OEM announced the launch of a mobile application (app) for the iPad that is an on-the-go reference guide to its custom-engineered extrusions, catheters, sheath/dilator sets, sutures, performance fibers, and medical devices. The app is now available for free through the Apple App Store or iTunes by using the search term, “Teleflex Medical OEM.”
TRUMPF has enhanced its LensLine sensor system for 2D laser cutting machines by combining it with an RFID (radio frequency identification) lens to achieve greater accuracy, process reliability and user friendliness. The LensLine condition monitoring function improves the reliability of cutting processes and reduces the frequency of lens cleaning.
Herrmann Ultrasonics is launching a new version of the proven HiQ DIALOG series. This machine allows achieving repeatable welds with low welding forces of 5 Newton. Smallest precision mechanical parts for i.e. medical technology or microelectronics can be welded.
Toshiba Imaging Systems Division (ISD) introduced the IK-HD3H, an ultra-small, 2.1 megapixel, 1080p 3-chip CMOS HD video camera. The new, feature-rich camera is the first in a series of two CMOS remote-head HD cameras, both interchangeable with Toshiba Imaging’s new IK-HD3D controller.
Raltron Electronics has just released its new Model R1612 Microprocessor Crystal at 1.6 x 1.2 x 0.4 mm in size addressing the ever increasing demand for smaller size components
TouchDMIS is the first full-feature CMM software with intuitive touch interface and one-touch measuring. Touch technology is revolutionizing human interaction to complex devices providing faster, simpler, more intuitive user solutions. Touch technology is now available for coordinate measuring machines with the next generation of metrology software: TouchDMIS.
Plastics Color Corporation (PCC) announced an expansion of its MicroBlok line of antimicrobials for polymers. The new formulation, labeled MicroBlok Z, contains zinc compounds instead of the silver ions in the original MicroBlok. Zinc’s antimicrobial effect is derived from its ability to disrupt membrane transport by blocking the proton pump that energizes the transport mechanism.
Using an innovative twin-head design, the Thomas Model 1420 miniature diaphragm pump achieves higher flows than conventional standard diaphragm pumps of the same physical size. The durable, oil-less Model 1420 pump is designed for applications requiring high flow in an extremely compact package, especially in the medical, automotive and business equipment markets.
The new Dymax Model 300 dispensing system features a pneumatic, normally closed diaphragm valve that is designed for use with low- to medium-viscosity fluids. The valve’s diaphragm design prevents fluid from contacting the actuating components.
SCHURTER has announced that its compact KEA series power entry module, with 1- or 2-pole fuseholder, now mates with V-Lock cord sets. The KEA’s new V-Lock compatible feature prevents unintended disconnection of the power from the equipment.
