Power Integrations Inc. said Friday that it appointed Sandeep Nayyar as chief financial officer.
The appointment is effective immediately.
Nayyar replaces Bill Roeschlein, who was fired in May. The company said at the time that the firing wasn't related to financial statements or regulatory issues.
According to a regulatory filing, Roeschlein was the subject of a felony domestic assault criminal complaint filed in Missouri. He had denied the allegations, according to the filing, which described the case as being in the early stages.
In a release Friday, Power Integrations said Nayyar most recently served vice president of finance at Applied Biosystems Inc. Before that, he worked at Quantum Corp. in roles including vice president of finance.
Power Integrations, based in San Jose, makes integrated circuits used for power conversion.
